Special Banjo hardware is rather expensive so I looked for cheaper, but functional alternatives. For the  hooks and spanners I modify small hooks that are used for kitchenshelfs (shown on the left). The tonering, supporting the head, is made of 6 mm aluminium and the tension-hoop is 4 mm brass. I bend them with a so called ring-roller.
